Course Objective: A bank is a financial firm which offers loan and deposit products on the market, and caters to the changing liquidity needs of its borrowers and depositors. Modern Banking focuses on the theory and practice of banking, and its prospects in the new millennium. Bank practitioners who wish to deepen and broaden their understanding of banking issues may also become a part of this course of banking. Consider the fundamental question: what is unique about a bank? What differentiates it from other financial institutions? Answering these questions begins to show how banks should evolve and adapt – or fail. If bankers know the underlying reasons for why profitable banks exist, it will help them to devise strategies for sustained growth. Banking is a fast growing sector in Afghanistan. In the initial stages, most of the bankers hired unskilled and untrained workers. But in these days, competition is also growing fast among the bankers. So there is need for the young generation to be trained. For this purpose Ajeer Higher Education Institute is launching training to the existing staff of all banks and those ones who are willing to get a job in banks and other financial institutes to well equip themselves from knowledge and training.
